In recent conferences, I’ve been asked the above question quite often.
The truth?
It wasn’t a transition.
It was an evolution.
The same foundations I learned years ago, service excellence, discipline, understanding people, are exactly what leaders need today. Taking the opportunity to share the feature and interview done by Swiss Education Group HIM Business School when I was back in Switzerland 2 years ago.
Only now, the question has changed:

In less than 2 weeks, I’ll be at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Annual Summit 2026 in Korea. Honoured to support as Master of Ceremonies during its 75th Anniversary.
Looking forward to engaging with leaders shaping the future of hospitality, tourism, aviation, business events, and destination ecosystems, including education, government, and travel tech in Pohang and Gyeongju, Korea.
